The Association of Black Travel Professionals (ABTP) is the premier membership organization focused on the development, growth, and certification of Black travel professionals. Through its motto, Support, Educate, Advocate, ABTP provides training, networking, supplier access, and an annual Summit to raise the profile and talent base of the Black travel community.
ABTP offers two membership types. Travel Professional membership is $109 per year (regular price $149 per year). Travel Supplier membership starts at $795 per year. Both include continuing professional education, networking, access to suppliers and decision-makers, and the members-only community.
ABTP serves two audiences: travel professionals (agents and advisors) seeking professional development, and travel suppliers or industry companies looking to connect with a vetted base of talented travel professionals of color. Membership tiers are available for each.
The 2026 ABTP Summit takes place August 20–23, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Registration is open. The Summit brings together travel advisors, suppliers, and industry leaders for business education, supplier training, and networking.
Members receive continuing professional education through seminars and workshops, networking with industry decision-makers and suppliers, access to the members-only online community and directory, and career enhancement opportunities. Members are also featured in ABTP’s “Find A Travel Agent” directory.
Yes. Certification of Black travel professionals is a core part of ABTP’s mission, alongside development and growth. ABTP’s customized training platform supports members in building the credentials and expertise recognized across the travel industry.
